Date Night #2

Last night marked the second date night since the arrival of the baby.  Once again my mom was kind enough to watch the baby. My mom has had a rough month battling an unknown respiratory bug that has left her on O2 and feeling quite lousy. For awhile, there was a possibility that it was TB. Everyone was scared and she wasn’t able to see the baby while the doctors tried to diagnose her.  Thankfully, it was not TB, and she is now recovering nicely.

We went to Which Wich again, because apparently, it’s our romantic spot now. When your sandwich is ready they call your name over a loud speaker. To spice things up - it was date night after all - I put my name in as Fernando. It’s a sexy name, and this was going to be a sexy night. “Super buffalo chicken for Fernando!”  Hella sexy. Next time I think I’m going with Zoltan.

After our hunger and libidos were quelled we headed to an historic, intimate theater to catch a rock show. On the bill was one of our favorite bands, Mutemath.  They have a great sound that appeals to both of our musical tastes. They’re a bit like a funkier version of The Police with an electronic edge. The show was general admission and by the time we arrived all the good spots were occupied. Finding an ok spot on the balcony we settled in for the show.

The opener was just meh. Why is it every show we go to some Dbag decides to come and stand in the four inches of space infront of us?  At least shower dude!  I figured that he must like the band much more than we do, and while his vigorous head nodding and hands in there air demeanor seemed to prove this fact, he only knew the songs off the newest album!  Because of our new friend I could only see about half a bass player and nothing else, so I found us a spot on the main floor. Our new spot was much better and we enjoyed the rest of the show.

For the first time in too long, we went to sleep with smiling faces and ringing ears.
